(Ice Cream Cone & Ice Cream Mountain; daughter & mother)
For those of you that have had the honors of meeting Ice Cream Mountain in real life, you've probably realized her two biggest life pleasures are food & babies. She LOVES eating & she LOVES being with little wee ones. Of course, if you've been reading the caviary blog, you've also realized that. :-P It's pretty obvious that I LOVE taking photos of her! We can't forget about all the 100s of photos I have of her... and all the others I post on here or other websites that I have cavy photos on.

Then there is Scream. She took a BIS at her very 1st show, as a Jr. I was shocked. I didn't think she had much potential (I'm an idiot!) and just showed her at the show for laughs and giggles; just to see how she'd do. My family and I would always poke fun of her white mask. No more could we laugh at this little girl and belittle her potential. The little girl with a white mask ended up taking 1 BIS & 3 RISs in her show career. As things seem to go, she never has gotten pregnant as she must be sterile or something.

And then there is Diaper Boy, whose one daughter is Scream (plus his other kids: Haunted Castle, Sea Storm, Spice N' Dice, etc). He's a registered G.C but his 3 legs were just for BOBs. This guy is fiesty and a total boar hater! In his free grazing time, he loves to pull a strand of a longhair's hair and eat it. That sure isn't a great way to be friendly with another pig, eh? :-P
Here are three Aby Blue Roan brothers! I seriously need to adjust the levels on the pic, but thought they were too cute to not post.

These photos also needs their levels adjusted, but they are adorable! :-D

Cleaning cages in the summer heat is awful. The flies are the worst in summer. :-(

It's soo tempting to just dive into the pool. So tempting. Soo soo tempting.

And this weather does NOTHING to make my hair less frizzy. :-( It just makes it VERY frizzy. I have wavy hair... and hot + humid (it really doesn't get that humid here in Cali..) tends to equal bad frizz.

Water!! *drools*

Anyone tempted to swim? :-P

Or there is always helping me clean cages! :-D You'll get some flies as thank you gifts! LOL!
Anyway... without further heat ranting...
My sister had her baby June 28th, 2009 at 4:22pm. She had a little girl who her and her husband named Elise; cute little one! :-D I only was able to get a few shots of her so far. It'd be lovely if the flash was not "in its own world" and was actually working. Go figure I need the flash the most when it's broken. :-\ While we are on the "in its own world" topic, I might as well admit that I'm in the same boat. I need to "wake up and smell the coffee." I need to get pedigrees up-to-date and e-mailed to buyers. And a lot of other stuff.
Lil' Hitler (real name's Domino; he's a mini schnauzer) got a haircut, but I need to finish it. I need to actually take pictures this time. I really never post picture of the poor schnuz. :-\ He got his summer cut and really needed it. It's hot and he loves being much more hair-free in summer. Now he just needs a bath as he smells like a dog. :-P
Well... it's 12:23am and I need to go to bed. I've been staying up too late lately. Meh.

So.. my family and I are at the hospital awaiting my sister's little one's arrival! My dad and I headed back home so I could get my laptop to use. It's painfully boring waiting around a hospital. :-S
Anyway...
Here are some cavy updates:
June 18, 2009: KL Sadie (Silkie TSW-- very little red) had 2 beautiful pups! Both are Silkie Satin TSWs; 1 a boar, 1 a sow.
June 26, 2009: PWA Rocket Stream (Coronet TSW) had 3 beautiful cuties! 1 Coronet Red/Wht sow, who's a total doll; 1 Texel TSW boar; and........... 1 MERINO Lilac/REO(very little)/Wht boar! :-D
Other than that, no cavy updates to talk about... except shitty news: GiGi (Coronet Tri Roan sow) had 3 DOAs (well, 2 were in sacs) on June 17, 2009 and ended up dying of toxemia on June 19, 2009. :-( UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, before I end this post, here's a (bleh) photo of the little Merino dude:
The quality of the photo is meh, but he's so CUTE! I need better pics of him, and hopefully I can get photos of his 2 siblings today! :-) I have no photos of them yet. :-S
- Mood:
bored
Excuse blurry pigs in pics... you know how it goes when you're taking pics of 22 pigs in the same pen... if you don't, you're lucky! ;-) I think they look good for the most part. Just please excuse any blurs in some photos... Like in a few photos, in the lower left hand corner, you'll see Planet M's head. LOL.

A little bit after these photos were taken, I put this piece of white coroplast in. Someone decided it wasn't big enough for her to fit in (*ahem*), so it got knocked down and it was making me giggle when I saw this white piece of coroplast moving on the ground! :-P I'm pretty sure it was Tonga (she is the Silkie Chocolate sow; you can see her in the very last pic. She's the one who is at the right, between the Silkie Satin TSW with a black face, and the baby with an orange blaze running down her face.)
After it was knocked down, I bent it so that it was tent shaped. They LOVED it!! And... believe it or not, Tonga had to push at its edges because she just didn't feel like using the big ol' exits. *rolls eyes* Rebels, I tell ya! The cavies that live here are such punks & thugs! They just have to find a way to stand out and get their ways. But the tent was a big hit! Almost everyone was chilling in there. Grazing. Popcorning. Running. Socializing. Could it get better than that? :-P
I plan to have them have another go at the pen early this evening, so that I can get more pics. There is nothing cuter than seeing babies bouncing around, grazing and all in all, having a blast! :-) And the bunch that was in the pen was quite a rainbow of colors! I love the variety! :-D
I had to spend like an hour baby proofing the pen. It didn't thrill me to do it, but I haven't had a pen for the pups to run around in since... '07 or something. :-S If they did get to graze, it was in this little cage pen. Now they have a big pen and can graze happily and not escape!

Even though majority of my pigs are chewed, that doesn't stop me from seeing how lovely they really are. Hell, what does the hair have to do with it when it all comes down to the personality? You could have a "near perfection" longhair and it could be the most evil thing on the face of this Earth and always try to bite you. I don't like pigs that always bitch, or are little shits that annoy me. I like pigs that always have a silly expression and greet you in a friendly manner. Like Ice Cream Mountain. That girl just thinks about food 24/7! :-P I was getting pics of her lying in the grass munching away on clover & grasses. I don't even think she has a mean bone in her body. She is so motherly and soooo sooo SWEET! :-D Did I mention she has such an adorable face!

So here are some pics of Ice Cream Mountain doing what she does best: eating!

(omg!! ICM has fangs!! :-S )

(in action shot of the clover being eaten! :-P )
I love taking pigtures! :-D

First off, I'll have some young breeder boars for free as I really have no room for them.
Here are the pigs:
( Click for the list of For Sale pigs... )
Not much has been going on here. And for the record, I just don't know how to write these cavy blogs entries anymore! :-S I've gotten so bad about writing posts worth reading, so... yea... I might as well just post pics to speak for the caviary news. :-P
There have been a few litters born this month. I have all of them (except the one "litter" whose mother was pregnant before I got her. She had 1 Silkie Lilac/REO/Wht sow, who is simply adorable, so I'll post a pic of her) on the caviary website.
I updated the website and its "Nursery" page is up-to-date, and even has pics of the June litters. *gasp*
Baby Silkie Lilac (could be Beige)/REO/Wht sow.. dob = june 11, 2009

Dressed To Kill - Coronet Blk/Wht sow

lovely coronet: nice position, nice pinpoint center! :-D!!

Grape Tree - Peru Satin Beige/Wht boar

(currently going through the 'gremlin' stage... *cringes*)
Nico

Not the best photos of him, but decent enough for me to post.
Some flowers pics.

Jelly Belly's beautiful curl!! :-D

My Little Eye - Texel Red/Wht boar

Pirate's Booty - Texel Red/Wht boar

I'm loving how these two boys are turning out! :-D When I see them head on, especially Pirate's Booty, they remind me of little lions!! :-D I need to get a pic to show you all how adorable they look!!
Okay, time for me to do another afternoon check on the pigs... and possibly get pics of some.
Tonga (Silkie Chocolate) had a litter.
A litter of three.
On June 8, 2009.
Dad is Rocky Raccoon, a Coronet Blue Roan.
All three are Coronets.
1 Coronet Blue Roan boar (not enough roaning)

1 Coronet Black sow

and...
1 Coronet Brindle (almost perfect brindling!!) boar
Guess what? The Brindle is a no go as far as showing goes. :-\ He has a wee bit of white in his coronet, plus a wee bit of a snip on his nose. GRR!!! He is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(geez, from all these different angles, I might as well have gotten photos of his rump, belly, feet & lips to have completed the collection of 'stalking the baby GPs' shots!)
And his belly is just as nice! If I could ignore the fact he's got da white, I'd be drooling over him! :-(
Now I have to spite someone for this! :-\
Durrrrnnn you Rocky!! It's all your fault since you're the dad and you will get all the blame!! >:-X And Tonga... cuz you produced a badly marked Roan who was blind n' deaf and whose name was Indian War Paint!! Durrrnnnn the both of yous!!
Those white hairs just stare at me.... those creepy white hairs just STARE at me!! I mean they are just RIGHT there! :-S They taunt me by saying "Haha! We iz the reason yous can't shows him!!"
I hate when this happens. :-( Like the time I was drooling over Outlawed Punk's Coronet Golden Agouti boar with the BIGGEST, CUTEST agouti eyes eva (well beside Moca's drool-worthy SA eyes!!), and then I noticed.... I noticed... *the horror* an EXTRA TOE ON ONE OF HIS BACK FEET! *slam
Or.... the time when I was looking at Velma's dwarf brothers + da big brother. 2 Beige Roans (drool, drool, drool!!) and 1 Beige -- all Perus. The gorgeous big Peruvian Beige Roan is drool-worthy, I tell ya. Yet, when I picked him up when he was just a few hours old.. I noticed... I noticed.. *the horror* ONE EXTRA TOE ON BOTH OF HIS BAC
I hate the awful experience of picking up a baybee piggy and noticing the evil POLY TOE/s!! Gets me all worked up every time! :-( Most of the polytoes I've gotten were from inbreeding (like father to daughter, mother to son -- I haven't bred a brother to sister! :-S) But others were from total outcrosses.
Anyway, I can't add anymore gibberish to this post as I really gotta get my cavy show entry in! It is due today, and YES, I did procrastinate! :-D I dunno whether I should e-mail it or snail mail it... as I WANT to e-mail it, but I'm worried the sec'y may not get it... as well, you know, those e-mail mishaps happen when you wait 'til the last second and you REALLY need to get something in. Go figures that Murphy's Law gets you every time you DON'T need it. :-\
I hate Murphy's Law. It always seems to come my way! :-( It's like a bloody curse! ALWAYS happens when I'm soooo excited about something, esp. when it involves the cavies.
Now it's time for me to look over my show pigs and make choices for the June 20th show... sooo muuuuch woooork fooor a laaaazy peeerson!
- Mood:
disappointed

I like specific pedigrees. I like when everything that is needed is there. It bugs me when ear #s aren't there (as the pig probably isn't tagged), when color isn't specified (like it's JUST Broken, JUST Roan, JUST Dilute Agouti... that kills meh!), no weights on the pigs (I've gotten bad about that one, sorry! :-S), etc.
I name & ear tag every pig that I use in my cavy breeding program. Even pets ones if they are here long enough. I know, I know, why ear tag the non-show ones, or ones just for breeding? Well, I like the info filled in as it bugs me if it isn't. Of course, I can't remember 99.9% of the ear #s for the life of me! :-S I remember names, not numbers! Lately, my memory has been awful! :-( If it weren't for typed up records and pedigree programs, I'd be royally screwed if I had to remember ear #s, DOBs, pedigree information, etc on the GPs! I lose papers like you wouldn't believe it! I'm very unorganized, get very lazy and I procrastinate until the very last second (most of the time), yet I've been able to survive 4-1/2 years of keeping breeding/litter and pedigree information on the pigs(that's how long I've been in showing/raising cavies)!
I have pictures of all (except I'm missing 2 -- the very 1st pig I had and 1 recent pig that I don't now own -- need to get her pic!!) the cavies that have EVER been born (alive) here or lived here. You know the awful part? 99.9% of those photos aren't labeled. :-( I can remember who 98% of those pigs are. The 2% that I'd need to look up are the babies and adults that look alike. Of pictures I have of the pigs, I must have at LEAST 10,000 (more like 15,000). Yea, I know that is a lot for around 400 pigs in all the total years of having GPs. I have several dozens o' photos of certain pigs. :-P Like I think I have at least 50 pigtures of JUST Ice Cream Mountain's lips n' face. And certainly over 100 photos of JUST her! :-D
I've seen quite a few caviaries that use cage tags on their cavies' cages to help identify who is who. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad about moving the cage tags around with the cavies. :-S I don't even get finished with typing up all the cage tags, let alone getting them all put on the cages. I have basically decided to tell myself 'The hell with the cage tags! I can't even keep up with them.' It'd be nice if I could keep up, but it's basically a no go. :-( But... then again I've also found that they make WONDEROUS pig snacks, and that doesn't amuse me in the least. :-\ All that effort just to be a pig's snack. Meh! So between pigs eating 'em and my own laziness and procrastination, cage tags just don't work 'round here. I remember who is who, but only name-wise. I remember few ear #s... but at least I remember all their names! :-D
I've gotten behind on pedigrees. :-\ I still have a lot to type up. *big sigh*
At least I have updated the website and added PIGTURES on most of the Cavies subpages. And nice ones to boot!
You know what is wonderful? I woke up freezing these last few morning! :-) The windows were open (hence it getting cold in the house)! It has been in the 60s and 70s here (a lot colder at night, of course --yay)! YESH!! And we even had THUNDER, LIGHTNING and get this... RAIN!!! It has been AWESOME!!!!!! It's JUNE and in CALIFORNIA and this is going on! So awesome! It's not common for rain to be here in summer. If only summer was only for a month... and then it was cold again. *sigh*
Better get going -- gotta go see what the pigs are up to! At least I have a few things to look forward to... esp. at the near end of this week! :-D
Oh, and a show is coming up -- Picnic in the Park, June 20th, in Cuesta Park (I think that is its name, I will have to double check on that!), Mountain View, CA. I really like the show as it's in a nice park setting and it's usually nice and cool up there in Mt. View (except last year --yuck!) I haven't been excited about cavy shows lately, so hopefully I will snap out of it and be happier at this one... and not just be waiting for the show to end, so we can head home. :-S
Ohh! Ohh! And Domino's 6th b-day was on June 6! :-D He was born June 6, 2003, so in 2006, his b-day was 666! :-P
- Mood:
amused

The 1st time I ever eyed a Roan cavy, I LOVED the color! I had NEVER seen a cavy that was as drool-worthy and absolutely gorgeous as a Roan.
To me, Brokens & TSWs are nowhere near impressive when compared against a nicely roaned Roan!

(yes, this photo needs cropping, but I'm not going to bother -- too much work!)

Guess who has been sitting on her lazy arse? *sigh* I can tell you who. ME! You know that Photography contest at the CA State Fair that I said I planned to enter? Well, I didn't. The deadline totally snuck up on me and bit me in the butt! :-( What a butt of luck. *loud sigh*
I can't even take any good pigtures anymore. It seems that if I get one thing done right, another goes wrong. It's very depressing. :-( Or have I gotten too picky?

I can't take good pigtures anymore. :-(( Wahh. The above one is the most decent one of the batch. *long sigh* I need to crop it, but why? I'm too lazy.... too lazy... too lazy.
Cavy news???
I grabbed a cherry, held it near Ice Cream Mountain (ICM for short)'s mouth and she then started nibbling at it a bit. After I took its pit out, I put the cherry back in and watched her violently chew away at its skin, tear apart its guts, & then lick up its blood. It was amazing. Then Mr. Cads (that's his nickname -- Castaway's Caldwell is his ped name) got his own cherry and had a total wicked time doing the same to the cherry, except without the puckered up lips & normal cavy facial expression from its sour taste, like ICM did. It was adorable. Then the two (the couple, aww!) had red smeared chins & lips. It looked like they just cannibalized a baby or something. It was an awfully funny sight! :-D Cherries are yummy to some pigs, too sour to others, but all in all, it gives me a good giggle seeing their chins n' lips after their bloody meal. :-P Of course, cherries aren't good when a cavy has a show to attend. ;-)
Now I'm sure the other pigs are chanting "CHERRIES! CHERRIES! WE WANT SOME BL
I also love carrot stained lips, blueberry stained lips, and the list goes on and on! Gotta love those food stains! *big grin*
On a side note:
Cavies are HORRIBLE animals to catch when they escape outdoors. They hide and stay there! They find the worst places for humans, too! Like near the blackberry bush of death, or the rose bush of doom!
Other than that, I really have no more updates (I almost said nightmares. LMAO!!!) No one has had babies since May 29th, nor has anyone gone to see Death (I sure hope not! *cringes*) I actually did update the website. It looks boring, layout and banner-wise, but look at the Pigtures & Nursery pages! OMG, they actually have content on 'em! *happy pig squeal*
10 pigs are going to WI tomorrow to live with CiCi & Cassidy of ClassCi Cavies, so that's exciting. :-D
I weighed a few pigs today and that went well. We got a new baby scale recently, so that was exciting! ;-) Digital!!
Well, I better go and see what crime show my mom is now watching! :-P Or wait, I think she is doing IEPs. *she's a crime show addict, I'm a horror movie addict!*
Before him, on May 22, ClassCi's Velma (Peru Lilac Roan), who was bred to Gold Nugget (Peru PE Cream,) had 3 Peruvian boars: the 2 dwarf brothers (1 lilac roan, 1 lilac) & a lovely big ol' lilac roan! :-D
I can't sell my last 2 for sale Texels! :-\ So much for Texels being popular around here! Hmph! It's be really bloody nice if I could sell my for sale pigs!! Grr! I need the space!
Well, that's basically it. I need to get to my Sales Policy for my caviary website. I know... policies... yuck! But... I've been screwed over one too many times and I AM now making cavy sales policies!
I'll make this short n' sweet as I want to get back to my story.
There have been litters born! :-D 2 litters born on Mother's Day! :-D A litter on the 19th and others in between those, plus ones before Mother's Day, I think. I don't remember and don't feel like looking it up, as I wanted to make this quick! May 6 - 19th... litters have been born on those days and between those days! Not that many litters, though. Not like March. :-O
I haven't even caught up with litter pics. :-( I can't get any good photos anymore. They all seem to turn out ugly! *whines* I've been going through this "can't take any good cavy pics, woe is me" depression stage. :-X When you know you can get better, you want better! Not like the pics are BAD, but they aren't up to snuff, at least in MY opinion! :-( I know if I actually cared to improve the quality of them, I could. But there are so many cavies and I've just wanted to get pics of the litters for my own safe keepings.
There has been some bad news. :-( It was depressing. *cry* R.I.P Windswept Hailey (Silkie Black/Wht.) *sigh* What a shitty day that was. Then I lost one of the Aby Satin Black sows. :-( And probably something else bad happened too. :'-(
It has been so dreadfully hot and hell-like, as far as weather goes. That doesn't help me feel any happier. :-(
Anyway... I have some reasons of why I'm a COMPLETE idiot. Buttt... I think I'll have you all wait a few months to hear about the one, and then after Nationals (which is in the beginning of Nov '09-- 6ish months away) for the other. No use telling them now. ;-) They are cavy-related, BTW! Exciting, yes!! I really want to tell them, but...
There is other news, but I want this short n' sweet! I had another post I was going to post that was real long, I just don't know if I want to post it or not.
Well, time to work on that damn story! Bye bye!

The name's Jelly Belly. I'm a baby Texel Red/Wht sow!
There have been a bunch of litters born in April; Coronets, Silkies, 1 Silkie Satin & 1 Texel. In Self, Solid, Agouti, Broken & Roan.
I haven't really been in a positive mood lately. With the whole cavy surprise (the "short hairs" I posted about in the last post) backfiring and all that other shit, I haven't been in a "Let meh blog" mood. The mood I've been in has been more like: woe is me. Death really gets me down. :-( I'm such a softie! :-\ Too emotional, you could say!
Other than that, I guess I can say the cavy stuff is going o...k..., except for an incident that I finally solved today. I cleaned cages, trimmed nails n' hair & Ivomec'd (with the topical stuff) the GPs... well *almost* all; the rest will get done tomorrow. I found out that Diaper Boy and Cyrano (Silkie Satin GA/Wh) have impactions. Ugh. Damn boar! >:-X
No litters born yet (in May). There should be some born this month, mainly brokens, I think. There will be one Aby/Satin litter. So I'm excited about that. But please read it this way: cautiously excited. I'm not getting my hopes up. Something is BOUND to happen because I always *seem* to be in the center of bad luck. :-\
I kinda updated my website. I'm not sure if it's for the better or worse, as I took down the "Cavies" subpages that had pictures & some information on cavies I had. I plan to put up the pages again and just put up my favorites cavies and ones that looked good in pictures, from present and past. I cannot keep up with putting all my current cavies on there! I have little motivation left to even really keep up with my website. :-( Four years into cavy showing & raising and I can't even keep up with my website! How pathetic! :-\

Anyway, here is a shiny butt for you to admire. I'm really digging this little guy! I can't wait to see how stunning he looks when his hair gets long! :-D
Well, I think that is about all I really need to talk about, unless you all would like to know about what is going on that is non-cavy?
Tomorrow, I think I'll write about the show n' stuff. Who wants to hear about that? Any takers? Not like I have too many exciting things to talk about from the show. :-( I was in my "own little world" half the time. Too busy thinking! I'm always thinking! And when I mean thinking, I mean deep thinking!
I hope to have some better things to post in the coming days or weeks. :-( This is such a short post that it makes me cringe just looking at it! Or rather, it's dull and BORING! :-\
- Mood:
sad
I'm not amused -- at all! It has been in the very high 80s and mid 90s these past few days. Even SF area has been getting weather in the 90s these past few days. It's HELL; hell on Earth! The feel of hot air brushing against one's skin is horrible! >:-| The pigs (and I) are soooooooo not digging this weather AT ALL! They have to have their doors shut and have the A/C running all day! I'm sure the pigs would like it if they could have 60s weather, with a cool breeze, outside. But NOPE!
I'd kill for some COLD weather again! :-( I really miss the breezy days in the 50s and low 60s. Wahhh!!!
Please, Winter Weather, please come back!! The pigs and I MISS you so so much!
In other news... I had STAR testing today (and have to take the Algebra part tomorrow! *ugh*). Bleh! I'm kinda annoyed as I don't think I did as well as the past years on the English portion! :-( Plus I had to take the US History one. UGH! The English portions were mainly all history related (that's why I didn't do that well -- wayyy too boring for my distracted mind!!) For those that know me enough, you'd know from certain rants that I despise History. I have the attention span of a rabid pack mule when it comes to History (translation = not good at all.)
I have a lot of cavy news to tell, but I feel like making you all wait, as it's more entertaining for me that way. It's exciting news, of course! Well... some of it was scary and HORRIBLE. I think I'll have to wait to tell the exciting news. OMG, I have to give a hint right now! One part of it involves something with short hair!!! :-D I'm not saying what kinda hair, how many, what varieties, etc.
Babies, yes! Another part involves 'em! :-D Think rare and exotic on one of them! *grins from ear to ear*

On to cavies...
Have I talked about my one cavy project? Not the rare variety one!
They have long hair with a single rosette/crest on the head... and they shine like the moon at its fullest!
Any guesses yet?
I had one born by surprise and she was the start of it! :-)
Well, for those still guessing, I'll just tell you:
Coronet Satins!!
Sadly, they aren't showable because of the ARBA and its stupid "2 breed differences" rule. :-\
Tropical Island was the one born by surprise! :-) She's a Coronet Satin Brindle sow whose parents are Castaway's Mooncoat Son (Coronet SS sire) and Robin's Raquel (Silkie Blue Roan dam). Her mother was the one I knew carried satin (out of a Silkie Satin GA Roan x Coronet TS breeding) Currently, Tropical Island is pregnant! :-) The dad of her pups is her half brother (same dam, totally unrelated sires) Crown Snow Rider! He's a Silkie Blue Roan. I didn't have any other satin or satin carrying Roan boars to breed her to, so it had to be him. I'm hoping for some Coronet Satin Roans!!!! Or Silkie Satin Roans. I'm trying to work on Coronet Satin & Silkie Satin Roans! :-) Roan satins are STUNNING! Wish me luck on the project! :-) I hope to have different colors of satin Roans by the end of the year! ;-)
I'm also debating with myself on whether or not I should give Texel Roans a try. I was able to get an extremely nice Texel self Black boar from Jackie of Cutie Pie Acres (who has 1 BIS under his belt) and I have Silkie Roan sows. Worth a try or naw? I love Roans in ANY breed (nice roans, that is!), so I'd be thrilled to have Texel Roans around here. :-) At least they'd be showable, unlike the Coronet Satin Roans. BUT that is ANOTHER variety to have around! I already have Coronets in almost every variety grouping except for Himalayan and Dutch -- same with the Silkies (as I breed them to the Coronets!)
Time for me to get to bed! It's late, I'm tired and I have an evening of photo taking ahead of me! :-) Plus pig chores to do in the AM.
Ohh! one more thing! The babies are looking so lovely! :-D There are Coronet, Silkie, Peru, Peru Satin & Texel pups running about! The Choc Roans, Platinum Solid Roans & Blue Roans are all looking stunning! Gotta love the Choc Roans! ;-) The Texel TSWs, Red/Whts & 1 Choc/Wht are doing great! I'm grinning from ear to ear over the Silkie Tri (Blk/Red) Roan boar & his brother the Coronet Brindle boar! I really want to end up coating them out as they'd look so jaw dropping! On that note, my newest favorite variety is the Brindle! In the longhairs, they look BEAUTIFUL!! I also LOVE White Crested Brindles! As long as they are nice Brindles, I'd love looking at them!

Fluffistuff's Glory (Texel Choc/Red/Wht) who was bred to TC's Pig Tails (Texel Red/Wht) had 1 big and beautiful Texel Red/Wht sow today (April 2, 2009.) The little girl is so curly and just a beautiful Texel!
